Senator Ling Ling Chang Endorses Peggy Huang

Chang is California’s first Taiwan-born female Senator; adds her support to Peggy Huang’s campaign for the 45th Congressional District

IRVINE, CA --- Peggy Huang announced today the endorsement of California State Senator Ling Ling Chang. Chang’s endorsement signals broader support among California State elected leadership in her campaign in the 45th Congressional District.

"I fully endorse Peggy Huang’s candidacy in this race for the 45th Congressional District,”   Chang said.   “I have had the pleasure of knowing Peggy both, professionally and personally. No one works harder for families in Orange County. Peggy’s record as a fighter for children in her role as Deputy Attorney General demonstrates that passion and leadership."

Senator Ling Ling Chang was elected to the California State Senate in June of 2018 after serving in the California State Legislature as an Assemblywoman. In 2013, Ling Ling Chang was elected to the City of Diamond Bar city council and served as mayor.

“Senator Ling Ling Chang’s endorsement is specifically important,” Huang said.  “Truly a trailblazer, she is focused on the issues that matter to families in California. With that same energy, I will bring leadership to Washington DC to fight for housing affordability, public safety, and economic opportunity for Orange County.”

Chang joins former California State Assemblyman Donald Wagner, now Orange County Supervisor, who offered his endorsement of Peggy Huang earlier this month.

The 45th Congressional District of California includes the cities of Irvine, Tustin, North Tustin, Lake Forest, Laguna Woods, Laguna Hills, Villa Park, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, Coto de Caza, and portions of the cities of Anaheim and Orange.
