Scott Walker on Peggy Huang’s Race for Congress
Former Wisconsin Governor says “Great candidate”; “Tremendous opportunity”
IRVINE, CA --- Former Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker recently weighed in on the upcoming Orange County Congressional races, and specifically the candidacy of Peggy Huang in her campaign to defeat Rep. Katie Porter.
"Currently, a mere seven seats out of 53 seats in California are held by Republicans. Prior to the 2018 elections, there were 14 Republican members of Congress from the state." Walker writes in the September 19, 2019 edition of The Washington Times. "That means that there is a tremendous opportunity to get back those seats lost in the last election. And there are plenty of great candidates. "

"I am excited to have former Governor Walker involved in grassroots training for California Congressional Candidates," Huang said. "In addition to the grassroots activists marching in this competitive House race, we are utilizing high-tech strategies in our campaign and traditional personal contact with voters."
Recently, former Governor Scott Walker spoke to the delegates at the California Republican Party Convention where the theme of the gathering was "Train. Campaign. Win." "Looking ahead, Republican majorities working with a Republican president can achieve even greater things over the next four years. Common-sense California voters can help make that happen in 2020," Walker said.
Peggy Huang is endorsed by Orange County Third District Supervisor Donald Wagner, former California State Assemblywoman Young Kim, California State Assemblyman Phillip Chen, and California State Senator Ling Ling Chang.
The 45th Congressional District of California includes the cities of Irvine, Tustin, North Tustin, Lake Forest, Laguna Woods, Laguna Hills, Villa Park, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, Coto de Caza, and portions of the cities of Anaheim and Orange.
