IRVINE, CA --- Peggy Huang today announced the endorsement of Irvine Mayor Christina Shea and Irvine Mayor Pro Tem Anthony Kuo in her campaign for the 45th Congressional District of Orange County.

"As a career prosecutor and defender of families, Peggy’s record on public safety is one I can trust," Shea said.  "I know she will work hard every day in Washington DC as our representative and she has my full endorsement."

Christina Shea has served on the Irvine City Council since 1992, serving as Mayor in 1996 and Mayor Pro Tem in 2017 and 2019.  Following the election of Donald Wagner to the Orange County Board of Supervisors, Christina Shea became Mayor in April of this year.

"As a City Councilmember in Orange County myself, I know the time and effort required to be a city leader.  Both Christina and Anthony are true leaders and I so appreciate their endorsement." Huang said.  "Having grown up in Irvine, I will work in Congress to ensure it remains the wonderful place it has always been."

Irvine’s Christina Shea and Anthony Kuo join Anaheim Councilmember Trevor O’Neil, Orange County Third District Supervisor Donald Wagner, former California State Assemblywoman Young Kim, California State Assemblyman Phillip Chen, California State Senator Ling Ling Chang, all of whom have endorsed Peggy Huang for Congress.
