Peggy is a native of Connecticut’s third district. She was born and raised in Milford, graduating from Milford High School in 1973. She put herself through college at Central Connecticut State University (then College) with a degree in Industrial Education. At Central, Peggy was inducted into Kappa Delta Pi, an Honor Society in education and Epsilon Pi Tau, an Honor Fraternity in Industrial Education. Peggy married Bob Rogers in 1979. In 1980, they took over the management of Rogers’ Service Co., Inc., d.b.a. Center Auto Body. At that time, Center employed 3 technicians in one location and owned two heavy duty tow trucks. Today, Rogers ‘ Service has grown to employ about 20 employees in two locations, added Center Towing and Recovery which includes diesel truck and trailer repairs, road service, and heavy equipment transport – both locally and interstate.
Peggy earned a Masters of Business Administration from The University of New Haven in 1985 graduating with a 3.4 average. She is adjunct faculty at Gateway Community College and, previously, Albertus Magnus College. In the fall of 2007, Peggy was a Visiting Professor in Management Information Systems the School of Business at Quinnipiac University.

Peggy and Bob have three children: Kevin, 23, a senior in MIS at Southern Connecticut State University, Kim, 21 a junior in Chinese Studies at Hofstra University, and Kelsey, 19, a sophomore Italian Language major, also at Hofstra.
Peggy has been active in the community most of her life. For several years, Peggy was the executive producer and one of the key organizers of the Mathewson Grammar School annual theatrical production. When the family moved to the Orange Avenue School district when Kelsey was in fourth grade, Peggy founded the Orange Avenue Drama Club. She is proud that the drama clubs at both schools are still thriving many years later. Peggy continued to volunteer in theater productions throughout her daughters’ middle school and high school years. In the spring of 2008, Peggy was the director and producer of an independent production of Jekyll and Hyde that raised money for the Invisible Children Fund. Peggy has also served as Assistant Secretary and on the board of Governors for the Pinewood Lake Association, where she is a lifelong member. She has also served on the board of directors and was vice-president of the Senior Wish Foundation of Milford and Orange. More recently, Peggy joined the Rotary Club of Milford and has been active in their activities.
